Fishing around Blue Water Bridge (Sarnia)

I am new to the area, from Montreal, I would like to know if anyone has suggestions on walleye fishing techniques in the St. Clair river or Lake Huron near the Blue Water Bridge- where are the spots to hit if launching from Sarnia Bay? I'll be running a Lund Explorer so can get around scoot around Lake Huron if it's worth while. Friends tell me their are commercial walleye nets- sounds like a good sign. Where are these...so I can avoid running into them.
