I thought I'd pass this along to you folks.........

Dear God,

Why didn't you save the school children in Santana school?

Sincerely,
A Concerned Student

__________________________________________________ _______________

Dear Concerned Student,

I am not allowed in schools.

Sincerely,
God

Let's see, I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained she didn't want any prayer in our schools.

And we said, OK.........

Then, someone said you better not read the Bible in school, the Bible that says "thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love thy neighbor as yourself".

And we said, OK.....

Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.

And we said, an expert should know what he is talking about so we won't spank them anymore...............

Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said no faculty member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we don't want any bad publicity and we surely don't want to be sued.

And we accepted their reasoning..............

Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won't even have to tell their parents.

And we said, that's a grand idea.............

Then some wise school board member said since boys will be boys and they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.

And we said, that's another great idea...........

And then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.

And we said, doesn't matter what anybody, including the President, does in private as long as we have jobs and the economy is good..........

And then someone said let's print magazines with pictures of nude women and call it wholesome down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body.

And we said, we have no problem with that....

And someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then stepped further still by making them available on the internet.

And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech.............

And the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies promoting profanity, violence and illicit sex... And let's record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder suicide, and satanic themes........

And we said, it's just entertainment and it has no adverse effect and nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead....

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, and why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.

Undoubtedly, if we thought about it long and hard enough, we could figure it out. I'm sure it has a great deal to do with the fact that.........

"WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Hey all,

This post, or a version of it, comes to me in e mail every time this happens at a school.

Everytime it is to the point and more relevant than ever.

What makes me sick, speaking as a Father, is that it has had to be sent so many times, only the dates, location, and number of dead and injured seems to change.

Another sick fact, it CAN happen to you, it CAN happen at your school, or your kids school. And it CAN be the kid(s) next door! Don't fool yourself otherwise.

We are all in this together.........R

Good post Buckeye. I think the world has lost focus on what is right and what is wrong. I think also that our leaders and law makers have lost sight of the big picture. We cannot please everyone. I also feel prayer does belong in the classroom and in the home. The last years have been easy for a lot of us financially. I think that in the next couple of years god is going to be hearing from a lot of folks he has not heard from in a while.

The only way to remove prayer from public schools is ti stop giving tests, and unfortunately, that's probably next.

Wow, what a day to read this post.

I am not sure if anyof you know this, but I am also an avid PC gamer. I am pretty involved on an onlime game by the name of asherons call, and a post on a few message boards related to that game each day also.

I just found out that another player and poster on one of those boards was killed by a drunk driver this past friday night.

She was a person who was able to share her personality very well through a Keyboard, and spread Joy with most of the posts she made.

I hope you do not mind if I share this with my friends on that board also.

lets not forget to lay some blame on our gov. for the shape we are in. and thanks to the utility, insurance, petroleum, taxes, after all that is taken from us we are left with a society that needs two parents to work to support our children. leaving no-one at home to make sure they grow up straight and strong. no-one to teach them wrong from right. i bust my ##### everyday 14 hours a day so my wife can stay home with our children and thank god we are doing ok. but we dont have a lot of the things that other people have. my kids look at me when they see a big fancy boat or big fancy truck and they say would you like to have one of those daddy? and i must confess i would but making sure my children are healthy and happy is most important to me. i know some people would ask did you go on to college? did you further your education? why did you play around for 6 years after high school? i cant answer that and though i did have a lot of fun i know i wasted a lot of time. but since i hit the grindstone 15 years ago i feel i could be a lot further along if there werent so many ##### people in my ##### pockets.

Great post. Being a government employee for the past 15 year I've become all to familiar with government bureaucracy and mandates.

Not that I agree with each individual point, but the overall mesage is very true.

The problem is, we read these things, think about it for a few minutes, decide that we are only one person and that we can't change the world, so it's forgotton.

Our society is based on making enough money, so that we can spend it on things that distract us, and allow us to not think about anything.

If you ask any person in our society what things are most important to them, chances are, none of them will be beyond their front door. Or, in a lot of peoples cases, their driveway.
