Thinking about setting up my pinpoint 7520 to shoot thru my aluminum hull. Any of u guys run pinpoint and shoot your ducer thru an aluminum hull or cant this be done effectively. Reason being, have a sylvan and am getting ducer interferance from something. Boat runs upper 55+ speed and would like to have a clear screen with no interferance. Wondering if anyone out there has done this and if so did u loose much sensitivity ? Any input greatly appreciated! K1esoxhntr

Had a starcraft with mine sealed to the inside for years.Make sure to use somthing that will stay flexable when you seal it down.I used epoxy once when it got hard the pounding on the hull would break it loose. Also make sure you don't leave any air pockets between the face of the transducer and the hull.
Wish I could mount mine on the inside of my glass boat...

The 2025 Pro-V I run also looses a good read at high speed. I had the same question you do. A Pinpoint rep at the boat show suggested I first try changing from a plastic to steel mounting bracket. Combined with tuning location for the best water to read of course. Bubbles are troubles says he. I will use the s.s. bracket to reduce interference and add rigidity as he suggested. Stay tuned...
I'ld love to hear from others on this subject.

k1esoxhunter,
You need a glass hull for a shoot through transducer mount. It doesn't work on aluminum. I have a Crestliner Phantom & nowhere to mount my transducer but on the extreme outside of my transom. I had these same thoughts but Pinpoint said it can't be done on aluminum.
