I'm a spinner&worm walleye troller.Never gave berkley power baits a serious try.I'm starting to here claims that they can outfish natural crawlers.Any input on this appreciated. If so,what colors?,what size?,what brand?.Can you use same plastic crawler over and over if not chewed up to bad? Thanks for the help. In some instances the plastic crawlers will out perform a real worm. Yes, they do take the punishmemt better than a real crawler.
IMHO however, I tend to have more confidence in the real thing, if they are nice, large, well conditioned crawlers. You know, the kind that coil and uncoil as you troll them. Hard to beat that action!!

Mike, I work for Berkley and was one of the first to use these 5 years ago in the prototype stage.
I have had them out perform live crawlers and vice a versa. The bait works best on a spinner rig with multiple hooks at a touch faster speeds. The look on the natural color is very life like and the texture is tougher than a live crawler which will give you multiple fish out of one worm. This bait shines in perch infested water, any where you can use more than one line( put on a dead stick)and when over a pod of fish. You keep your bait in the water more - I have done study's on Lac Suel,Minaki,Mille Lacs and many other bodies of water. The bait generally will hold its own to live. Sorry for being long winded. I started using Berklys Power Worms last year and had great sucess with them. The natural colors worked best for me.I also broke the crawler in half. One thing that did present it's self was I had to keep the bait moving. If I let it lay still,,no fish.I caught many spieces of fish and put as many in the boat as my buddies fishing with me.Give it a try and good luck.
