I RECENTLY WAS TRANSFERRED TO THIS STATE WITH NO WALLEYES. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SHARE SOME INFO ON TO WHERE I CAN CATCH WALLEYE? WE TRIED THE MISSISSIPPI AT CLARKSVILLE, WE HERARD IT WAS GOOD WALLEYE WATER, I DIDN'T CATCH A THING. IT WAS BAD THOUGH BECAUSE ALL THE GATES WERE OPEN AND THE WATER WAS DINGY.
I REALLY NEED SOME GOOD INFO OR I WILL GO INSANE.
I AM ALSO THINKING OF FISHING THE USFA CIRCUIT HERE, IS THERE ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE THAT ALSO FISHES IT?
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Yea I know what you mean. I lived I central IL for a bit and we went to MO fishin. Crappies etc. fun but defiitely not Walleye. Catfish, muddy water......... Wait until someone starts discussing Carp sandwiches, "its all in how you cook em" and then they ask "is Walleye any good to eat?" I hope you survive.

Welcome to MO. Better learn to love bass fishing. When we want to catch walleyes we go to Canada.

Cant tell you about river fishing but you guys need to look at the reservoirs like Bull Shoals, Truman and Stockton. You have to work for them, they just dont jump in the boat for you. Suspending Rogues in shallow water working best now in the evenings. After Memorial day Stockton peaks. Forty fish days not uncommon for those that know walleyes. Missouri record walleye came from Bull Shoals, 21 pounds one oz.

March is peek time in those areas for huge walleye.
Glyde Ryder is dead on the money, widely underfished walleye waters with huge walleye.
The spring pre-spawn run has been known to produce the monsters. Cranks have proved to be very good. Suspending Roughs, Bagleys, minnow, baits anyway, just get into the creek arms at night is the plan.
Should be a turkey shoot for a northern boy who is walleye wise?

Hi I live here in stockton and my wife and I fish for the eyes all the time. Some days good some day bad. MDC stocks stockton every other year with about 25 to 30 walleye fry per sq. surface acre length limit is 15. Keep a tight line
hey their i live in bolivar and have been fishing stockton but this is prety much my first year for walleye. any advice to the novice? I normally fish near the dam or in the little sac arm around 123 bridge. any info would be great. dave
We have allways had better luck on the Big Sack. Don't know why but it just seems to better. Maybe it is that is where we started to fish and had good luck. Try sons creek arm. Also when you go under second bridge stay to the left on go on around the bends.
