Where is the Minneapolis Convention Center? I will be near the Mall of America this weekend and was wondering how close they are to eachother. The sport show is this coming weekend right?

Yes, the Northwest Sports Show begins this weekend at the Mpls Convention Center. The Convention Center is in downtown Mpls, near the interchange of 35W and 94, between 1st & 3rd Ave and 12th and 16th Street. The Mall of America is in Bloomington, approximately 10 miles South of downtown.

If you do not want to drive down, the bus runs from the Mall of America right down 35 to the Convention Center. $2.00 and no hassles with parking, etc. The run every 30 minutes.

Hmmm, lets see,
Option 1: Stay at the Mall and fight the crowds of teens and shoppers/mall walkers for your space to walk so you can look at overpriced stuff you don't need or...
Option 2: Go to the Convention Center and fight the crowds of fishermen and dreamers for space to walk so you can look at overpriced stuff you wish you had...
I'd go to the Convention Center. :7

I heard once that it was one of the top 5 sportshows in the nation. I could be wrong, but it's certianly a good show.
They have excellent seminars; I haven't looked at the schedule, but I know Scott Fairbairn, Bob Mehsikomer, Keith Kavajecz, and Ted Takasaki will be there. I'm sure there are lots more but that's all I could remember. Maybe someone else knows the website.
Every fishing boat imaginable, every motor, sporting goods, docks, etc, all in one building.
