With the high cost of plugs I saw in the Cabela's catalog that the Real Image plugs were only 4.99 each. Has anyone used the walleye runner?
My friend caught a 9.6 lb walleye on one in January on the Walleye Runner. The lures (both the Real Image Walleye Runners and Real Image minnows) seem to have more wobble than Rapalas when trolling real slow. I also like the rattle in the Walleye Runner. I did end up changing the hooks on the minnow lures...they were pretty cheap.

I have a couple of the suspending jerk baits. I didn't find them to work any better or worse than a husky jerk. It is a nice bait.

I used a clown walleye runner this past fall and it outfished every other crankbait used in my boat. I was surprised, because they really are an odd looking lure, but I guess it wiggled just the way the fish wanted. I could get it down to 15 -20 ft if conditions were right, and it has such a pronounced wobble that it was easy to tell when I had weeds or when mud had accumulated on the lip.
My vote is to get one!
