I do alot of night trolling, but last year I either lost the light off my flags or they shorted out. This year I am thinking of putting some reflective tape on the rest of my flags.(I have 2 with it on right now) To me, it worked out alot better than the lights. All I had to do was shine my Mag-lite on them and they were brighter than the cheesy lights.
The problem is, I can't find the tape anywhere for the life of me. It was a 3M product called Scotchlite. It's the same stuff they use on the construction drums & barricades on the highways.
Please help

We troll with boards at night and I used to use reflector tape also. It is OK when you are fishing 2 boards close to the boat. I like to troll 6 lines way out. If you have good ligts on the boards it is easy to see if they are all in line. When you pick up a weed the board just pulls back a little, but is very noticable if you have a constant light on it. A fishing buddy of mine who is also an electrician invented some lights using an AAA battery holder and a LED. These things are unbelievable. When the water is rough they are still easy to see. You can see them half way across Bay de Noc. I was afraid we were going to have airplanes landing on us. Last year he made up a bunch of them and sold them at the boat landings to the guys that saw us using them. He sold everyone he had. Email me if you want more info.

We use a reflective tape on our farm equipment and semi trailers. You can order it thru Gempler's catalogue by the roll but it is a bit pricey. Most likely get it from a truck supply or implement dealer by the foot.

Try the local bicycle shop for reflective tape.
