Castaways for Kids

I just heard about this program! Bring all of you old rods and reels to Gander Mountain stores or the Sports show starting this weekend. Volunteers will refurbish them and give them to children to help them get involved in the outdoors. They prefer enclosed reels first, and spinning tackle second. So, lets see all the WCer's dig around in their garages and basements this weekend and donate unused equipment to the future of our sport!

I know I have a couple rods collecting dust. Hopefully some kid will catch more than I did on them!

10 rods/reels delivered Sunday! All were garage sale purchases over the past several years. I fixed them up when our local Police were doing a similar program. They only borrowed them for that, though. I knew they would turn into something some day. Gander gave me some coupons and some Berkley Power baits. Works for me!
