Vern,
Are you talking about In-Line Planer Boards? If so, this year I am going to use the Off Shore boards with the new Snapper release on the main arm and an OR-16 (with pin) on the back end. Reason? Simple..the Snapper will hold the line tight, and depending on which locking setting I use, I can either set it to lock in place with a pin, or allow it to release and slide back to a bead. In my case, I will only use the forward position.
When the Snapper is locked in the forward position, it will drop a pin down and lock the line inside it. (Only when the line is placed behind the pin of course..;-)). This will keep the board attached to the line at all times.
When the Snapper is locked in the back postion, it allows the board to "trip" and release the line, letting the board slide down to the bead.

I like this release because I have skinny hands, and that means less hand strength. If I can use a release that I don't have to squeeze, and it holds stronger than any other release on the market, and holds superbraids as well as mono lines, you can bet I'm going to use it!
