Just returned from fishing on LDML and here's the report. First day Tues. July 31 thunder and lightening from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, with other storms passing around us until about 6:00pm. Got out for about an hour and managed to get three walleyes jigging in about 16 ft. Next day was pretty good, considering another storm ripped through during the night. Total, 4 plus inches of rain and ten hours of lightening in 24 hrs. We caught our fish on wind blown shorelines in 14 to 18 ft. The shore was MUCH better if it had an extended food shelf rather than a steep drop. Still amazes me we caught any fish after that weather! Thursday was also pretty good although we lost our wind. Found fish in the same areas only just a little deeper. 95 degrees and no wind is tough. Friday was less productive for us with only a dozen fish coming in the boat. We were fishing with leeches and crawlers with a dicided preferance for the crawlers. Limited success jigging with most fish coming off the Lindy-rig. We marked lots of fish deeper, 20 to 25 ft., but couldn't get them to go. We stayed at the Thunderbird Resort and fished primarily from upper Bull Island to Boot Bay. Good luck...SkeeterBoy
