The same topics usually get a different treatment every time they come back up, so don't feel too bad about bringing a 'used' topic up again. Anyways, Wave Tamers seem to get the most votes from the members of this board. Check the pro board under drift socks.

If you want to spend 100 bucks for a nylon bag go ahead. Dakotamart has a 60" bag for $39.99 Slow Poke, it works perfect every time.
good luck,

The Wave Tamer by JNB Originals is by far the best driftbag. It is made out of poly and will not rot. It has been tested under some harsh conditions and is well worth the investment. Phone 507-629-3969.

Until you've use a Wave Tamer, you don't even realize how easy drift bags can be to use. They aren't $100 by the way. Besides, Highlander Tony asked which driftbags are the best, not the cheapest.

Right behind you Joe....Besides, is this sport about the cheapest things we can buy or the BEST FOR THE MONEY! Big difference.
I have said it before and I'll say it agian. Do you use the $20 combo rod/reel or do you have a about $100-$150 into your rigs? It is all about perspective and value/quality for your dollar. For some folks the $20 is perfect for their needs and no one should ever knock that. I still have some of those around my self for the little kids in the boat(daughter dropped a good one overboard a several years ago). But I also know that when when quality matters then buy the best you can afford. In the long run, you will be happier.
Wave Tamer is just that for me.
PS..good luck to a freind heading to Lake Erie today. Hook 'em up, Perry Good!
