View Full Version : Glendo Reservoir, Wyoming
Has any one ever fished Glendo Reservoir/Wyoming in late May, early June?
I'm located in Denver and often travel out of state to try out unfamiliar waters. How would you rate Glendo as a fishery and are their any suggestions or recommendations on where to fish and what to fish for?
Thanks

I've fished Glendo the last three years on the second week of June. We can always catch fish. If we trollor or drift jig. Had good results with leeches but seen days where nightcrawlers kick butt. Our fish size is aveage no lunkers 12 to 20 inches we catch alot of 16 to 17 incher. The firetiger or chartuses colors are our hotes with white being nexted choice.

The month of May probably is the best time for walleye fishing without the jet ski and water ski crowd. I have nothing against either, but May is by far the most peaceful - fishing is good too. Try red canyon or airport bay. Last year the walleyes bit well on into July. We keep the 15-18 inchers and let the bigger ones do what they do to keep us coming back. Weekends, from after Memorial Day on, get very busy. Come during the week if you can.
