I have owned a 6'6" 8-17lbs for about 1 1/2 years LOVE it! the BEST! but beware... the rod is VERY fast. Glad to help.

If I had to pick only one rod the Techna AV would be it. I have many GLoomis rods including the GLX and my Techna rods are always my first choice. Just wait til you get one and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I really like the rods I bought. Very light and responsive with great backbone. GREAT FEEL! I use the 6' MF and the 6'6" MF as my primary rods for jigging and rigging. I feel that a rod of this caliber (and other rods of this caliber) can make a difference in the number of fish that you put in the boat on any given day. Fenwick has produced a product worth considering in this catagory with the Techna AV. I'll be adding 7' rods to my arsenal this year.
Good Luck

Fact: I own two. Opinion: I like them. Outcome: Do the fish care? -- I don't think so.

I have used them for 3 years now and could not fish with anything else. I have never owned a G-loomis but the Techna is a fantastic rod. Lots of feel and very durable. I mostly jig for walleyes and I have never had a better rod.
Great choice !

I bought my Techna AV last spring and fished as often as I could with it. This definitely is a quality product and you can buy one with your eyes closed. This is one very light and sensitive rod. I used it with Fireline on my spinning reel. It's the best combo I ever used. You can feel the slightest nibble and outfish your fishing buddies. I'm saving to buy a second one. Rawburt

I hate to be the only guy to go the other way, but I too own an AV and I've got to say I thingk they are overpriced. They are a nice rod but I cant even put them in the same class as a GLX. My future rods will all be St Croix or Loomis, until someone builds a better rod.

I also own a St. Croix Legend series rod and even it doesn't compare.
