trying to decide which R.C.L. tournament to enter, they are both long distance for me so will only be able to fish one.looking for some help from people familiar with both bodies of water, why you would fish one over the other, what the bite will be like at tournament time etc.... thanks in advance for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you would enjoy either one, I hope I do. Erie could be cold wet, windy, rainy and with huge waves. Also, it could produce some of the largest walleye you will ever see. Saginaw bay will be a little warmer, but all the other weather conditions could be tough. Fishing there will be good with the fish not as large as Erie. Tough call, If you get to Sag. early let me know, and we can get you out on some of the pro boats for prefishing.

thanks for the info Bruce!!!!!
Lake Erie during that time could be effected by extreme weather, and changing of the weather patterns. Especially being a 4 Day tournament. But HUGE fish. Absolute pigs.
Saginaw during that time should be producing ALOT of fish. Alot of nice sized fish too. From 6-10 lbs. BUt also alot of smaller fish are in the Bay. Weather wise, well as unpredictable as it is, should be nice. Warm, probably sunny atleast some of it. Wind though you can never tell.
