Question, looking @ a TR-1 autopilot but don't know if I can still use my steering wheel to turn kicker if needed with arm that is attached to my main motor?

You can if the TR-1 is not locked on in the directional tracking mode, or is turned off. Don't try it when the TR-1 is trying to steer too, or you will probably burn up the hydraulic pump.

hey walleyeranger i'm just wundering why would you want your kicker motor conected to your main motor if your using a tr.1 autopilot. i think it would cause you some problems.

I setup my kicker the same way, I have a interconnect rod between the main motor and the kicker so I can steer it from the console and it keeps the kicker from flopping around. I made a kicker support that lets the motor turn with the main. When I want to use the TR-1, I disconnect the rod and pull the pin on the kicker support then lower the kicker.
You will not hurt the power pack if you leave the rod attached. The power pack will shut down after 2 minutes at max pressure. Its the same as if you held down a left or right turn button.
