I have been looking at this motor and was wandering if you can run it off your other trolling motor batteries? I have a 175 tournament pro alumacraft, and was thinking that the vantage would be all the kicker motor I would need what do guys think?
I dont want to put two extra batteries on board if I dont have to. thanks for any information
I just ordered one today. I have a alumicraft magnume 175 and i think it will be great. I ordered it for reeds sports and they have the best price on them. I hope this helps. They said they love them.

The Vantage motor is the best thing ever for Walleye fishing. I bought one from Reeds a year ago last January for my 20ft Targa 2000 and use it to death in every tournament. I have a 24 volt system and have never had any problems with the batteries going low. I would highly recommend a Vantage motor and the same for Reeds, call and ask for Jeff Arnold great guy and he owns the place.
Good luck fishin

Did you order the 74#er? How much is Reeds getting for this one? I am thinking about getting one.

I just mounted a new Vantage 74 on my Crestliner 1750 Sportfish. So far, the only criticism I have is the wire leads from the motor to the batteries are a little short. I will need to splice about 4' of 6 gauge wire to get them to the batteries. I'd like to see MinnKota lengthen the leads a bit.

Casey. I have had the Vantage for two seasons. Mine is a 74# unit and it is wired to the same 31 plate batteries as my autopilot. I work both of them at the same time. I can get the weekend out of the batteries before charging. I had the boat dealer install a plug in on my boat that charges both batteries from a single location so I don't have to disconnect the batteries for charging. It has been a really good performer for me.
