I rec. a free fishing package to naughty pines from the MN-Walleye expo. Just wondering if anyone has fished this resort and your thoughts. It is located on the english river- and encompasses 7 lakes. any reports good or bad would be greatly appreciated. If you would rather e-mail me feel free. They havent booked up for the year yet so thought that was a little suspect. Looking forward to your responses and thanks in advance.

MN-HookSetter you and everyone else that signed up probably won. In my opinion this is a marketing gimmick/scam. I got the same thing last year and so did my buddy. Let me guess you won a trip for only one person, but you can have others attend for a certain price. They also want you to send them a deposit to reserve your spot. If you win a trip don't you think that it is funny that they want a deposit?

I also received the same offer after winning the grand prize in an internet contest. After reading thru all of the fine print, I threw the ##### thing away.

i won a trip to naughty pines a few years ago. my dad and i split
the cost of the second trip and off we went.

here is the good parts
wonderful area, great fishing.

here is what made me angry.]
they claimed bait was provided..and it is but they dont have
any.

they deal in american dollars only and charge canadian prices.
so if you bring your own boat bring all the gas you will need to
use.

the cabins were tiny (really tiny) and had no shelves for
storage. there were bigger cabins but the cabins for 2 people are probably 8 by 10.

if you know what you are in for you could have pretty memorable
trip to the english river...it was the surprises that tainted it for me

good luck

there were much nicer places along the river that cost the same
or less because of the exchange rate.

Mine went in the circular file after brief perusal. I know of places near by where two can go for their single price and get no surprises.

Incidentally, I did not go to the MN Walleye Expo this year, so they are using other mailing lists as well.

5 of us went there a few years ago on the last week of May, it was great. below the rapids, we caught 69 pike in 3 hours. 7 doubles, 3 triples. lots of nice walleyes in the mouth of Johnson lake, when the curent is flowing in. I got a 20lb. pike. We brought my boat with 30gal. gas. filled up twice there at 50.00 for 2 6gal tanks. It would be a fishing trip worth every penny. Have fun!!

I have fished there 3 times in the past 8 yrs and they are adding cabins . Are they high priced ? Yes . but are they worth the money Yes The coupons are the way that they pay for the both at the shows . So it is actully the show that is giving you the trip . It is a great place to relax and to catch some fish

did you sign up for the trip and put your name in a box ,then notified in the mail you won trip for one person but you have to have two people to go ?? i think everybody that put their name in the box gets one of those letters, but every show they give a trip away for two in sioux falls they did a bobbing for trout contest.my employee won that. so we will see how it is
