I'm thinking about getting one of these two units for me and my kids, 5 and 9. If you have any pros or cons about either, please give me your input.

Thanks,

Nate

Can't speak for the vista, although I've heard that it is a good unit. Catch cam has worked well for me, they were first with infared lights & allow a wide window that everyone can see a once. I guess that there is a lot of kid in all of us though as I would personally prefer to watch the pictures than drive the boat.

I have used Aqua View, Vista, Catch Cam, and Atlantis on Devils Lake, although all are decent units, my personal favorite was Atlantis. It seemed easier to control through the ice, the moniter was decent, and vision was excellent. All are good units, just my 2 cents.

I have used the CatchCam for 2 yrs now. I believe they have the clearest picture, and now with the New SportPack, it is all built into one. Yes, CatchCam was the first out there with the Red LCD lighting, which actually attracks fish. I have used others, and seen others work, which they all do, but, My choice is the CatchCam after seeing the rest at work.

I have owned a Vista Cam for 2 years now, use it both summer and winter without any problems.

My partner and I purchased a catch cam after looking at them all. We are very happy with the results except the drag on the line when your moving. Sometimes I look up in front where my partner is fishing and he is just watching the monitor and not fishing. He's like alittle kid which is ok for me, cause that leaves more walleye's to hit my lines. The picture is very clear and the screen is nice and big to view. I hope it helps
