I know that this has been posted but I haven't seen a response. Does anyone know of a distributer of the trojan batteries in the Twin Cities? Is $95 bucks a piece a decent price for size 31's? Thanks.

The distributor they list for the Twin Cities is AA Battery in Minneapolis. 2512 2nd Street NE 612-788-6533.

The SCS200/Group 27 is $91
The SCS225/Group 31 is $95

The group 31 is only a half inch longer and a 1/16 th inch wider than the group 27 so looks like it would fit the average battery tray. Both the same height 9 3/4 inches.

I'm looking at them also.

I just purchased 2 group 27 Trojans (SCS200's) plus a battery box for $160 with no sales tax here in Oregon. Did my maiden voyage last week with my new 824 minnkota in the Columbia. Ran 6+ hours backtrolling at 70 to 90% speed and never drained low on power. Man, I love that autopilot !! Trojan Batteriers are 2 thumbs up. Sounds like some people out there are paying too much. Shop around at battery wholesalers. Sporting goods and boat dealers will stroke you.

WHY HASNT ANYBODY TALKED ABOUT USING 4 6 VOLT BATTERIES? THE GUY AT AABATTERY TOLD ME THAT I COULD USE 4 6 VOLT BATTERIES TO ACHEIVE 24 VOLT AND WITH THE 4 6 VOLTS I WOULD HAVE TWICE THE POWER AND OVER TWICE THE RECHARGE CYCLES FOR JUST A TOTAL OF 90 DOLLARS MORE.... WHAT THE #####?

I thought about wiring for four 6 volts but I didn't have the space for that many battery's, add to that the extra weight and it just wasn't a doable in my boat..
