As with all the other responses about Trilene xl in recent years,I too have had enough problems with it to say goodbye! Seems like the old stand-by just got old.Whats next??Has anyone found a line to compare?

Triple Fish Camo. Been using it for the ten years or more good stuff.

I used to use nothing but L until I tried Stren magnathin. I think it performs better than XL ever did.
Maxima! You can find it in Cablea's master catalog. Best mono there is according to ME! :)

Trilene tournament strength is the best line I have ever used for spinning reels. It is soft but is very strong. Wouldn't use any other line except i use sensi-thin sometimes.

you might want to try the new maxima clear, I don't remember what it is called but it is clear, thin and strong. Another one to try is the yozuri hybrid. I use it for leaders and have one reel spooled with it and am very happy with it.

You have got to try RAPALA FINESSE It just came out a couple a months ago If you liked trilene xl you will love this stuff. I've talked to a couple of other anglers and heard nothing but good things. You have to fish it to believe it . I have been promoting the stuff on WC because I think other anglers should know about a quality product like this one.. Not to mention we put it to the muskie test 8lb test 17 lb. muskie no steel leader needed Just VMC circle hooks I have to give it an A+

Stump,
Try Super Mono XL by Spider Wire. It's Strong, Abrasion resistant, Sensitive, Limp and is a really good line. I've been using it since last year. Try it, You'll like it!
