I was on a canadian fishing where we had a hot cereal in the morning along with eggs, bacon,...
anyway, the cereal is called red river and I can not find it any where. Is there a web site or phone# where I can get some red river cereal?
Thanks in advance!!

Red river cereal is a product of Robin Hood Multifoods. I'm not sure that Robin Hood products are available in the US? Call 1-800-268-3232 to talk to a customer service rep.

Funny you should mention that. A group of us have stayed at the Old Post in NW Ontario for a number of years, and in their advertising of their meal plans, talking about breakfast, after talking about hot rolls, canadian bacon, etc., they say "and of course, Red River Cereal." In all the years going there, I've yet to see Red River Cereal. I should hasten to add that all their food up there is super, so I haven't missed it. But after reading your post, perhaps I'll have to make an effort to give it a try. Sounds like you think it's pretty good stuff.
My father knew the guy who invented it many years ago. Something went wrong at the flour mill and various grains got all mixed together. Rather than throw it out or sell it as pig feed, he scooped it up and sold it as a hot cereal mixture. Everybody liked it. He ended up calling it RED RIVER CEREAL. It's kind of like a multi grain porridge. Put this on your "stuff to buy when you go to Canada" list. You'll be glad you did.
