I am planning to head to LOZ below the dam this Sunday - any of you Missouri guys have a few tips for us transplants. OR should I stick to strippers and white bass?
still Missouri walleyeless

I don't think that the whites are running yet, maybe some up in the lake but below the dam? I used to catch walleye if you go down below the bridge and the river makes a turn to the left, some nice rocky water down through on the right. also fish the rock chutes that are man made. the water runs a little faster here , I used to troll in these but have not for a year or two. Also strippers are a good catch on the bright green soft jerk baits. they have worked for me. good luck steve

I just returned from the Ozarks this past Wednesday. Try fishing near Camdenton (54S turn on "D" Hwy) to Ha Ha Tonka State Park.
If you're shore fishing, hike to the spring area where you'll find a small dam with decent water rapids flowing by. If you have a boat, troll the cliff side of this area and you may be in for some excitement. Good Luck!
