Just curious to how high everyone keeps there gray line adjustment at to pick up a good bottom reading to determine a difference in bottom hardness.

Keith Kavajecz, in a post here on WC, said he sets his to, I believe, 40 percent on his 350A. His post might still be in the archives of the Pro Q&A forum.

I have settled on 37%. After a couple of years using my X70 this seems to work the best.
