What colors or rigs do you guys recommend in ice cold murky water . We're fishin the susquehanna River in NE PA and recent snow melt and that nor'easter have raised water levels up 12.5 feet It 's the only place to fish around here because all the resevoirs are still solid ice, So we are venturing out to fish the shoreline lookin for slack water and eddies , We were doin good last weekend with FL Orange Floating jigheads with large shiners but the water came up 6 feet since then and It is quite murky . Any suggestions?
Are we Diehards or just plain stupid?

hello hello
There is a segment about color choices at the Rapala web site that you might find interesting. Good luck.

Sounds like a nice river system, but I've never been.Certainly your fish are off thier bite, nor easter, dirty ouch!!.I'd try the shinners on heavier jig, fish warmest pools or slackwater and very slow, almost still fising it. good luck good fishin

We tried fishin Sunday but it turned out to be a nightmare we should've known better. I guess it's just force of habit you work all week and look forward to gettin out on the water. the water level wasto 12.5 feet and only a lunatic would try to fish in that. ha ha
when you cast off the shoreline your just throwin into 4 to 6 foot trees and bushes that are under the water. We tried!
Nice thing is since Sunday it has dropped from 12.5 to 8 feet and it's only Mon. Lookin good for Saturday. Can't wait

We fish muddy water most of the summer. Our #1 bait is a Hot-n-tot. Try these in chartruese. Good luck. Troll slow.

I fish fast, muddy water in the spring with success using the bigger baits - almost exlusively jigs. I upsize the jighead and go with a white plastic body. Tip it with the bait fish of choice and look for the slack water.
