What did I miss?
Did anybody see the show?
What underwater camera brands were compared?

The show reviewed five camera's. The vista cam, catch cam, ovc, atlantis, and of course the Aqua view. I don't know if the Capra's were completely partial to all. The Aqua view out performed the others in a nighttime light test. They suspended three bobbers one 3 feet one 6 feet and one 9 feet and tested the different camera's ability to see the bobbers. The Aquaview is the only one that could see the bobber at 9 feet. The ovc picked up the bobber at 6 feet. The infareds failed to see anything. All of the features that were reviewed ease of use went to the Aquaview. The ability to turn off the light which is not needed in the daylight is one feature that seemed important to the Capra's. I guess for battery savings. The compact storage of the Aquaview was a nice feature too. The OVC ran a close second and in my opinion for $150.00 less than the aquaview is a bargin. But I will probably go out and blow $499.00 on the whole Aquaview shooting match. Like they say a fool and his money are soon parted right.

I too watched the show and I feel that they were 100% promoting Auqa Vu. I work at a bait shop part-time and we have sent back at least 30 Aqua Vu's this year. I have one myself and have had very little problems with it. As a matter of fact this bait shop quit handling Aqua Vu's and went to OVS. I know OVS makes a good underwater camera but I don't feel they made a fair comparison to all the underwater cameras. If you noticed on some of the cameras they simply put the camera in the weeds and turned it around and didn't see the bobbers. If you looked closly at the Aqua Vu's demonstration the weed line was lower than the bobbers they weren't in the weeds. It was interesting to watch and see the show but I don't think they were fair with all the other cameras. I love my Aqua Vu and will stay with them but for the show I think it was an unfair test to all the other cameras.

I was trying to find out where I could see the show around here so I looked at Capra's website - Aqua Vu is a sponsor! I wish I could have seen for myself, sounds like a little bit of a conflict of interest.

I saw the show and thought that it was funny that all of the other cameras would only show weeds no matter which direction they were turned, but the AquaView showed the suspended bobbers (don't recall seeing any weeds). My eight year old daughter noticed that as well. Smells fishy to me. I don't own any of them, and don't plan on buying one, but if I was looking, I wouldn't give any weight to that evaluation.

Ted Capra's son has owned part of Aqua Vu along with Jeff Zernov.
Anybody suspicious why Capra's t.v.show would do a comparison of their own unit(aqua vu) against others?
What did you expect?
