Anyone else have difficulty with things freezing up at the MWC. My bilge was shorting out fuses and not working I assume it was froozen. Livewell doors frozen. Took on a couple of hundred gallons of water. Maybe the livewell tubes froze and cracked. Happy to get back to the landing. Took the boat back to the dealer to get it checked out.

You betcha it was freezing stuff!! It was darn cold out there yesterday!
We had trouble with the kicker motor. First, we couldn't get it in the down position, because the doo-hicky latch thingy (proper name escapes me at the moment, and I'm too tired to think about it..;-)) froze up, and then the TR-1 was having problems when trying to turn to the left. It would work good, and then out of the blue, it would freeze up, causing us to swing way around to the right . We had to manually turn it when that happend, but that was no problem really. It got to the point where we could tell when it was going to freeze up, and when it wouldn't.
Other than our hands losing all feeling while we handlined, and Marge fighting with the baitwell to get the pee bucket out, (which was pretty humorous by the way heheh), we didn't have too many problems.

We had a great time down at Spring Valley, and can't wait to see you all again at Dubuque! Thanks for all the good wishes, and pats on the backs. We really appreciated the support! You MWC folks are the best! Congratulations to the Dalzot brothers once again for a job well done! Too cool.

He was trying to get me to say where Marge and I were prefishing, because we were on some nice fish, and I was doing a great job of not giving any details. Had him and his friends going for a little bit.

Well, on Thursday morning they blew up a bridge down at Hennipen. So he asks me, "did you see the bridge blow up?", and without thinking I said, "I heard the charges, but by the time we turned around to look, it was already in the water". (Can you say "DUH!!"?) I knew right away that I had blown it. I saw him give his partner a "nod" out of the corner of my eye, and I just cringed. I had to excuse myself to answer a phone call and didn't see him again until the rules meeting.
Blowing up the bridge was all the talk that day, and I didn't stop to think what my answer would give up. When I saw him again at the rules meeting, I had to punch him in the arm for being sneaky. LOL He thought it was pretty funny. It won't be so easy for him next time though. My lesson was learned..;-)
It's all part of the game, and what makes it so much fun!

It sure was cold and still is, I got the heater going in the garage to thaw out my boat for next weekend. I would like to thank all the people that run the mwc tournaments if it wasn't for them us fishing-people wouldn't have tourneys to fish. The only complaint I have is being a rookie to the mwc I wish they would of made an announcement for the big fishpot. Being rookies we should of asked questions but we didn't and guess what we caught on sat. Guess you learn from your mistakes,(I know I did). All in all it was a great time and we ended up 18th.
