I've had nothing but problems with my raytheon unit. Have sent it back 5 times. They gave me a new one and it still isn't working properly. They think I've got a power spike that is setting the thing off, Heck I've even given the thing it's own battery to use and it still turns itself on. They fixed the first one then the display screen wnet bad. Gave me another one and the power connector prong was broken off. Now a new unit doing the same as the first was. Heard from the guys at Gander that their unit have had this specific problem. I'd go with the lowrance.

He's most likely correct. I had a Raytheon 365. It doesn't compare to Lowrance x85. I do have an older model Raytheon, Echonav730, and it is much better than the current models they produce. In fact, I'd say it's as good as anything I've ever had from Lowrance. Sad thing is, they don't make the 730 anymore.
