The lighted lure has been OK'd in MN as long as there is a mercury free battery. Jesse signed the bill and its now law.

It was discussed about 2 or so weeks aga and a guy from Apple Valley MN created a lure with a light. He then had to find a mercury free battery to comply with MPCA? i belive. Then a bill was introduced and has been passed so it is legal. I dont know the name or if these lures are being built yet though. thats about the extent of my knowledge

Dan Foss invented the GloJig. Uses a mercury free battery one-fifth the size of a dime. Four sizes, two types. One flashes and the other type will stay lit. Works on the principle that light attracts fish. The bill past end of March I think. They might work good ice fishing. I think the flashing one should work....
