Hope someone can help. Some time ago there was a post from the owner of a lodge (motel) south of Mobridge near Oahe, but not on the water. I wrote down name and phone number, but, alas, cannot find the note. Will do a blind search of the archives if no one can help.

Sounds like you may be talking about Akaska, SD, it is about 15 miles south of Mobridge, and about 5 miles from the river. There is also a state campground and boatramp at the river. Thanks much, SdDoc. Checked the website and, yes, that was the one I had noted. This time I've bookmarked it so it stays in the puter. Sounds like a neat place as a homebase while fishing various areas from Mobridge south. Hope to get out there in July.
