NADA is factual . It is based off actual sales and averaged. The prices are gotten from all over the country. It is not a coaches' poll...it is based on real numbers of actual sales.
Sorry...the numbers aren't so good on some brands.

The numbers are not represented very well by NADA... there is a marine blue book that proves to be more factual... some brands are represented poorly in both books... As a rule of thumb, however, most boats are low in any book of values... I am not sure if it solely in the benefit of dealers, but, being in the business, usually the books do benefit the dealers... Stick with key brands like Ranger, Lund, or Crestliner and you get excellent re-sale values... see ya on the pond... Wags

Before I bought my boat last spring, I had spent over a year shopping for a used boat before deciding to buy new.

What I saw in the South Central Wisconsin area was that older boats were priced above NADA prices and probably sold above also. Newer boats were the opposite, they were listed for less and sold for less than the book price.

My motor was a new '98 model and on the invoice, I paid less than NADA had a used '98 selling for.

Where do you find a copy of the Marine NADA Book?

Thank You

An area dealer told me that the internet NADA book is different from the book prices that dealers use. Obviously he was right because his book price was $1500 less than the internet NADA book price. Where can I go to get the internet value for my boat?
