I put my Global Map back on my boat after a winter on a closet shelf (the unit, not me) and now I don't have paddle wheel speed, water temp., or distance log. Where these numbers normally are I have a couple of dashes; distance log reads: "---.-". Is there something I can change in the set-up menu to fix this, or do I have to send the unit back to Lowrance? Thanks in advance for the help.

Call lowrance at 1-800-324-1356 and they will put a tech on the phone to help you.

check the connections at the connector on the boat. When the boat sits awile moisture can build up in the connector and create a corrosion build-up. It sounds like the leads for the speed and temp are not making contact. If the unit doesn't sense the speed or temp sensors when it is powered up it will display the dashes instead of the numbers.

good luck!

Thanks for the info. Will the unit still show the miles accumulated in the distance log prior to the lack of contact or will it go to the dashes immediately upon the STT sensor being disconnected?

I recently had a similar problem with mine that I thought was related to the SAM module. I called the factory and they told me that there are two wires at the one end that are exposed. I think one is green. I believe they are for the data output option. Anyway, they said that if the bare wires are touching, to cut them or tape them off. My problem was as simple as that.
