Thought i would ask you folks what is/are the recommended summer storage requirement(s) for my Strike Master power auger. I received it for X-mas and had alot of good use with it this past winter. Now should i run the fuel out completely, stabilize what fuel is remaining, or just hang it in the attic above the garage until the snow flies next year? Thx for any tips!

What I do is run it dry. Hang it up. Have done it for years.
I also have a grease zert on base of mine. Newer ones I
guess don't need grease, they have no zert. ha

You might want to check with the owners manual since yours is brand new. You remember, the book that got tossed on the bench or in the junk drawer last fall. :-)
But this is what I do. Add a little SeaFoam to the tank (Maybe a couple of teaspoons) and run it dry. This keeps the bowl and needles from varnishing up over the summer. Then pull the plug and fog the piston. Have some one pull the starter cord a couple of times as you fog to get the lubricant into the crank chamber. Put the plug back in hand tight.
While you you are doing this it is a good time to look at the blade and sharpen if needed. Also inspect it for any bolts that might have come loose and tighten. Wipe off any dust and oil around the carb. Grease if necessary. Cover the blade and hang 'er up Its clean and ready for next year.
Next season, fill er up and it should fire right off.
There are those that will leave it in the shed or garage just like they have every year without a care. Some of those guys never have a problems, others like to tinker with them every fall instead...its a ritual thing. While others are seen cursing them on the ice every year. It won't start, it starts with a bang and a puff of blue smoke but won't run or cut worth a darn, or it just plain runs like...well you know the guy. We've all seen or heard him.
1/2 hour now is worth that week on Lake of the Woods next season.

Fill the tank, open the choke, loose tightens breather cap
stand it in a corner on its guard
silicon the blades, and oil the base/auger connection. Next winter pour out the gas into your car. RE feul, wipe excess oil
and silicone away re silicone blades, works for weed whips, chainsaws, etc. or yank that fogger loose.
