October fishing in northern Saskatchewan can be pretty cold. Can you take 20 lb propane cyliners into Saskatchewan legally? I'm thinking you probably can take them over the border but want to make sure we are legal. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks in advance.

Propane canisters must be registered with the Department of Propane Gases. After you pass a psychological test and clear a background check, you will have to pay $200 for a license.
Kidding....yes it is fine providing the canister is in good shape. You cannot refill a propane tank here if it is more than five years old.

Reminds me of something funny. While being checked by DNR up on NE Lac Seul I ask the officer what was the cleverest fish hiding thing he had ran across. He said some guys had cut a hidden opening in the bottom of a 20lb. LP. TANK.
