Dave here is the latest
The commercial fishing season on the lake is open which means basically all the ice is off on the Alberta side of the lake. However, there is an east wind today and some ice is being blown our way.

We have the 2nd week which is when we always go. Also we are the 3rd week this year . We are switching to the 3rd week from this year on out. Also he has no one the week before us this year so we are the 1st week of the camp being open.

Dwight was fishing with one of our Athabasca group tues and wed on erie they got one smallie 7.1 lbs and 4 in the 6pound range. Not bad for 2 days. Will send you pics

Talked to our officer up there. Lake ic ice free over to Burntwood Island in Twp 114 Rge 4. Please remember our officer is posted on the west side of the lake in Alberta.
