Dan,

Check with your bank and see if your check was cashed. That's the only way I know of to find out. My check was cashed, so I assume I'm in.

I heard a rumor that the Merc National was going to limit participation to Mercury engines only. Any truth to that???

That's not a rumor. You must have a Mercury powering your boat this year. I'm sure it will be that way from now on too.

I wonder what the anti RCL,FLW boys will say now about the Merc exclusivity clause?

Who Cares!?

Who cares? Fish the tournaments that are open field if you have a problem. There are so many formats that if you have a problem with the RCL, don't buy a product that is included in the process. Same with Mercury.

This whole whine session has gotten about 3-6 months old. If you are a pro or want to make the most money, do what you have to so you are a qualified participant. If you can't afford it, go fish to have fun. Let's give it a rest.

YOu kind of miss my point. They jumped up and down and screamed when it was the RCL/FLW. But now that some exclusivity rule has included more of them, it's going to be okay. It's the ole "depends on whose ox is gored". It's only bad if it affects them. ;-)

All of the, you can't fish my tournament unless you use my product, mentality will end up hurting the sport in the long run. By the way I do own a Mercury and a RCL boat. I just don't like limiting the competitive field.
