Bought a pinpoint system 2 years ago and now want to add a third unit to the boat. I've been told that perhaps I have to send in the 2 units I have to have them upgraded to match the 3rd unit. Is this true and is there a web site to go to that could answer the question. Thanks in advance.

Their Web site is http://www.motorguide.com, but you'd be better off calling them and speaking directly to one of their reps, though I can't remember the phone number. Anyone else??

I have a pinpoint system with the 3700 trolling motor and a 7500 on the bow and a 7520 on the console. I wanted to do the same and I did put one on the stern and it all works perfect. I never sent anything in for upgrade just hooked it all in-sync and I can view any of the locators from anywhere in the boa, it's great! I bought my 7820 from Jeff Arnold at Reeds, he gave me the best price and told me exactly how to connect everything. WOW what a system. Buy the third one you'll love it. Hope this helps you out.
