What is the diff. between marine cranking amps and cold cranking amps. ?????? THANKS HotStick

I was told the difference is the temperature of the battery when its tested. They use a warmer battery to get rating for MCA (yields about 10% more). I guess they figure ya only use a marine battery when it's warm out! :)
