Didn't end up making it. My fishing buddy delayed the trip due to the weather. Probably won't make it until after Easter now. This coming weekend I promised my son a trip to Wapapello and Easter weekend is on the Mississippi in WI. Depending on timing may end up at Stockton. I'll let everybody know when I'm no longer Missourri walleyless.
Thanks

Dave I fish out of Orleans Trail and troll out of the cove on the right of the lake along the rocks we usally pick one up on the way out to the lake. We also troll along the right bank towards the bride and in the coves. Good LUCK!! Steve

Steve, Dave and Walleyeless: The MO Walleye Anglers Assn. is having their summer open tourney on Stockton, June 2-3 this year. If you'd be interested in fishing it, let me know and I'll get an entry packet to you. Even if you don't care to fish it, come on by the weigh-ins. There'll be lots to learn about catching walleyes on Stockton, for sure. Last year, same week, 27 boats brought in something like 170 fish (limit of 6 fish/day)--not bad for MO. Good luck to you,

Mike

hi their send me that info. my email is
stiffcat76@yahoo.com
I am still with out a walleye this year and really need to catch some or just one would be nice. i was talking to a local walleye angler over at the lake tonight and he said that he didnt think the walleye were in the creeks yet. said he had been catching them in the lake but most were only about 15-17inches long. of course that would be great as far as i am conceraned. but any way send me some info. i dont know if ill join any tourny or anything like that but ill probably show up for the weigh in. and mabey if i can start catching some between now and then i can convince myself to join haha. thanks dave

I learned 15 years ago that to learn to catch walleyes where numbers are low you have to learn the ways of the walleyes and adapt. I wasnt learning that on my own so joined Kansas Walleye Assn and tournament fished with a contingent of folks that knew the local fish. A crash course every other weekend with show and tell at three PM. I had to team up with the folks that know what they are doing to have any measure of consistency. I too belong to Missouri Walleye Anglers Assn. We sure would like to have new members. John Esates johnestes@glyde-ryde.com
