Rigging Rod

I am getting ready to buy a Cabelas Fish Eagle II 7 1/2 ft spinning rod. I want to use it as my rigging rod and to cast light jigs from shore. Does anyone have any experience with these rods?

Someone also told me that These rods are built with Loomis blnks?

I got one for xmas and sent it back for an avid. I don't think they are worth the money Neal. What are they $60 - $80?

Just buy the Loomis or Avid. I bought my first Loomis last year, a 7½ foot GL3. No doubt it instantly made me a better jig fisherman. Now I love pitching tiny jigs halfway across the lake. I put a Stradic with 6/2 Fireline on it and absolutely love it. Great sensitivity, great backbone, and great service (I sent it back this winter after launching the top half halfway across the lake during a cast and cracking the bottom half's tip. I'm glad the line held so I didn't lose the top half!).
