Well, considering it's not our product, I have no idea what's up! You apparently spoke to someone at Navionics, not FHS.

Please remember folks, all this new technology USES the Fishing Hot Spots data. These are NOT our products. HotMaps are from Navionics, MapSource is a Garmin effort, Topo-Log is a private company producing CD's and I'm sure the list is going to grow. This is all brand new stuff and there may be some growing pains from time-to-time. This instance may be one of those.

Because the FHS name is tied to these products (for marketing reasons) it can be confusing but please don't think we're holding anything up here, because we're not. We make maps, period. We license our map data to other companies to use and make existing products better, just ask Lowrance, Garmin or Raytheon.

I'm sure some of this will be addressed when I'm fortunate enough to host a chat here on Walleye Central May 2nd. Hope this answered your question...good luck on the water!

I ordered a HotMap of Mille Lacs for my Lowrance LMS-160 on Friday (3/30) and they E-mailed it to me yesterday (4/3). The detail is unbelieveable. I used the order page on the www.navionics.com web site.

Good luck and good fishing.

Eric,

Could you give a bit more info on where you got that from? I can't find anything for MN on the site you listed, other than Great Lakes info. Thanks!

what i ordered is 5 minnesota lakes that they are putting to a(multimediacard) or mmc. the lady (at navionics) told me that they were having some trouble formating them to the mmc. and that they would ship them in about one week. i just hope it dosent snowball. with the rain on the way and warmer temps i think the lakes are gonna fall through soon! what depth gradations does the map you received use? are you able to bring it up on your unit and look at the whole lake and or zoom in/out?

hey box, all you have to do is go to navionics.com and scroll down to the bottom of the page there you will find the fishing hot spots icon. click on that and it will open up to the hot maps site where you will have the option to view the available maps. good luck! oh what unit do you have? will you be having them put it to mmc or are you gonna have them email your maps?

I previously had 62 waypoints loaded for Mille Lacs. I'm thinking about deleting them all (except for the ramps). With such detail on the HotMap, now a guy can just put his cursor on the flat or reef he wants to fish and use the "Navigate to Cursor" function!

Impressive. However, I hope they don't raise the price on them at the end of the month like the website states.

that's why i ordered all the lakes that they have, that i intend to fish b4 the price goes up. i wish they had more lakes available. like gull, north long, pelican, edwards, ten mile,birch,pleasant,woman,sugar.... with this technology i would gladly drop another 250 to complete my favorites.
