I've heard some good things about the new Taildancer plugs, and that they'd be good on Erie. I'm making my first trip ever to Erie the first week in May and am going to get some. Does anyone have any advice which size (7 or 9)and which colors would be best. Also, my crankbait aresenal is limited to mostly Wally Divers, Shad Raps, and RistoRaps. What is more commonly used on Erie with success? Any other presentation methods other than trolling plugs for early May on Erie would be appreciated. Thanks.

try reef runners. They make all kinds of colors that have been proven to catch fish on Erie. They come in three different types:ripstick (shallow), little rippers (little deep divers, and the big deep diver. forgot the name. Other methods is trolling crawler harness. Hope this helps

PS reefrunner.com is the website.

The Bigger the bait the better. Reef Runners are proven like JR1 said. I think the dive charts on the tail dancers won't get you to the fish anyway when there suspended in 35' of water. Good Luck.

Don,t forget about deep Thundersticks. For the thunderstick Jr's
and the tail dancers you may have to use a trolling sinker to
achieve the proper depth. It works for me.

What is a trolling sinker, one with a keel?
