I just want to say thanks to everyone who uses this website for starters. I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned from all of you! I also want to say thanks for the countless emails I get from people either asking questions or saying some kind words for the input I post on the Pro Q and A page. I feel very fortunate to have met many of you so far. I hope in time I can meet everyone who uses Walleye Central! Looking forward to seeing many of you on the water this summer and at the weigh-ins. Keep the information coming and thanks to all you wonderful people. Good fishing and don't forget to shoot the puck. Mike Peluso #999

Mike, you seem to add a real touch of class to this site as do many others. Positive people like yourself do wonders in the success of this site and for everything in general. Your input is always great and we all enjoy and value it. I've got two questions before I go. I'm curious as to how well the Shimano line counter 1500 LC Bantam works, they sure feel sweet. I purchased one and have yet to use it. I do recall you had some comments about it earlier on the pro page but I can't remember what they were. Also what line do you use with it and backing if any? Thanks Mike.

I like the Bantam line counter reels very much. They work fine and are very smooth. I think you will enjoy using them. I usually use 10lb mono for backing if I am using fireline. Otherwise, I just spool them up with 10 to 12 pound mono all the way. I hope this helps you out. Thanks for the kind words you guys, and yes I am a hockey player. I am a completely different person on the ice though. The saying in hockey goes, if you take it now you will take it all year! Set the tone early in the season or your career. The rest is easy because of a persons reputation. Good fishing and don't forget to shoot the puck. Mike Peluso #999

Hey mike, Thank you! your posts are always informative. By the way do you have a younger brother playing in the USHL? I forget what team, but I did see a guy named Peluso playing against Sioux Falls this season.

Thanks again

Thank you Will! I do have a cousin (Marco Peluso) playing for the Lincoln Stars in the USHL. Great league! I played my USHL days in Omaha. Thanks again. Good fishing and don't forget to shoot the puck. Mike Peluso #999
