Heard a rumor (from what I would consider a reliable source) that the RCL was lowering the co-angler entry to $250 ? Any word on this ? Is this only for the Erie Tournament ? What about those already entered, will a refund follow ?? Truth or urban legend ?

Your rumor would be false, they did not lower the entry fee.

I just signed up this afternoon and they did lower the co-angler to $250 + $18 for membership in operation walleye = $268. Sunny said they still had openings for pro and co-angler. They were
not discounting pro entry fee at this time.

Boomer, was this your $250.00 deposit to hold your spot or the whole entry fee? Also did you speak personally with Sonny? Golfeye

That is the case. Had a good friend fishing the pro division call me asking if I could fish as a co-angler and that they had lowered the entry to $250 for the Erie event. They are short on co-anglers and are getting desperate to fill the spots for pairings on all the pros that are entered. Unfortunately it's a bad time of year for me to fish 2 to 4 days next week. Good luck to Ron N. and all the other anglers.

The number for Operation Walleye is 270-362-5225.
At this time, there are more co anglers than pros. I believe the last count was 20 co anglers on a waiting list.
They are looking for more Pro Anglers to sign up now.

The RCL contacted out Club last week. They were desperate for co-anglers it seems. They offered to pay our club $500 for every Co-angler we could register. We countered and Said why not just waive the Co-angle fee of $500 and who ever we register get in free. They apparently agreed to cover the Co-angle fee and still pay our club $100 for each Co angler registered. This is from our President I did not personaly speak to the RCL but was in contact with our Pres throughout last week about this.
Whats UP with that anyway!
As I understand we were not the only club contacted to recruit Co-Anglers for this event.
