Lowrance x85

Ive just purchased a x85 and have read the owners manual. I am not sure I understand the dual frequency feature. ie. 192kHz and 50kHz.When to use which or both? I fish deep water often.Any help would be appreciated.

Use the 50 when you have deeper water, want a wider cone angle, don't need strong definition and want lower frequency for less noise. For almost all freshwater uses use the 192 or 200. It gives you the best detail,works better during high speed and target definition is better.Good luck with the graph - its a nice unit.

will i receive any interference if i have a vexilar flasher next to the x85?

Dunns,I don't know for sure with a Vexilar,I run an X85 with a Zercom flasher and hav'nt had a problem.You would have to check the frequency of both units.
