Try Captains Cove Resort. Buy a chart, you will need it. For Notherns fish Saltonstall, Long and the north bay of Burnt Island. Buy a Canadian License at Reeds Resort (check in with customs by phone, and then again when you return to Drummond) on St Josephs Island. Reeds is in Wiskey Bay on St. Josephs Is straight west of Burnt Island and south of Burnt Point. The best Northern Pike fishing I have found is off of Koshkawong Point on St. Josephs Is, 30 degrees from Reeds you will run right into it. There is a big RED and WHITE marker on the point. Fish the point to the west. You will find a large weed bed on a 15' flat about 100-150 yards west of Koshkawong Point. Don't overlook Richmond Bay while you're there.
Troll the west side of the islands with rocky shorelines at night for walleyes. Also there are several reefs west of Harbor Island, and sw of Saltonstall Is. that hold fish, Scott's Bay always seems to have walleye in it too.
This was my favorite vacation for 23 years. If you want more post back, w e-mailaddress.
Good luck!

I'm planning on going up in early July. Is there any salmon fishing up there as well as walleye? Want to know if I should take both walleye and salmon tackle. First time up there so any additional info would be helpful. email bigdon@iowatelecom.net

August and September are best for salmon in the area. The fish are usually in the channel and south of the Island then.
