Looking to get in touch with "trap shooter" who has fished lil Shab thru Northern Wilderness Outfitters. If I remember right you were planning a trip to Carillon. Contact me thru my personal email and I would like to trade some fishing spots with you. Could possibly scan a map and pinpoint the best areas. Thanks

If it is Little Shab your want to know about do not worry about needing a map to catch fish on this lake. I have fished it ten times and caught over a thousand fish each week we were there (four of us). Any point, any reef, and there are to many to count of each, any downed timber with some depth around it, the river at the south end, shallow rocks, deep rocks, it makes no difference. Use jigs tipped with something, worms is cheapest and small pieces only, we did not have gulp when we went but I would use it now, and use pieces only. When they are hot plastic tubes or twister tails tipped with nothing or something works every time. 1/8th ounce jig is all that it needed, plastic colors anything from white to Chartreuse or any color in your box, just experiment until you find the one they are preferring that hour. There are many reefs and points out from the cabin in all directions, just be sure to take a depth finder to help you find the spots and depths. I kid you not, the only way not to catch fish on this lake is not to have a line in the water.

THats pretty much what Trapshooter said and he did not come in store today but I will tell him when I see him. I hope Richardson is that good.
Did you use NWOutfitters Hoffy?
42 days seems so far away.

No, the last year we were there was 1998 which I think was the last year of previous ownership.
