We'll be spending some time on Lake of the Woods (by Morson) and then heading to Sioux Lookout. What is the quickest/best roads way and does this bridge impact which way we have to go? Thanks, in advance.

My trip planner shows that if you go south out of Morson and pick up Hwy 11, go east through Emo and Ft Francis to the Hwy 502 turn off and go north to Dryden, it will be about 252 miles. If you choose to go north on Hwy 71 through Sioux Narrows, and then turn east at Longbow Corners, the trip will be 258 miles. It's your choice.

I have been doing it for several years now, pulling an 18 foot Lund. No problem.

This coming week they are doing ashphalt on the north side which may slow things abit but other wise not a bad wait.Bridge is suppose to be done by fall, never seen a bridge take so dam long to build.

I spoke with the tourism people from Kenora last winter at the local show. They said the builders are trying to save the wooden superstructure and that only the bridge piers and foundation are being replaced. The roadway is new but the wooden part does not carry the weight on the bridge anymore. This was let out in separate contracts, why? Could be anyone's guess.
