We've decided to research a trip to Manitoba. There seem to be plenty of outfitter options and they all claim to offer big pike, lots of walleye and all the amenities. It looks like it will be difficult to seperate the wheat from the chaff. Does anybody out there have any experience or knowledge regarding some good destinations for a fly-in camp with truly great fishing? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

It depends on how much you'd like to spend.
North Star Lodge on Knee lake is great. Extremely pricey, but worth it if you have the money.
There are a lot of great fly ins in MB.
Aikens Lake Lodge-you'll catch every species
Budds Gunisao Lake Lodge-pricy but top notch
Northstar (Knee Lake Lodge)-pricy but top notch
Bolton Lake Lodge-have outposts
The area around Flin Flon/Snow Lake offers tons of opportunities for fly ins. But you may want to consider a drive in lodge. Up north there is less pressure and the scenery is spectacular.
It's the drive up Hwy #6 that will bore you to death. But once you're there it's all awesome.
I have fished out of Viking Lodge in Cranberry Portage several times and love to fish Simonhouse Lake for Big Pike. This is a drive in lodge and pretty cheap to stay at.Good Luck!
