I am looking to buy a digital scale. I was wondering which one is the the best for the money. I was leaning towards the Berkley.
Any suggestions?

I have been using the Berkley for the last four years or so(X-Mas gift)and have had good luck with it.I have compared it to the certified scale at the bait shop and have found it to be very close(with in a tenth).I still have the original batteries it came with.Good deal for the price.

Have tried the Stren and Berkley scales.. by far, the Berkley is superior. I have used the Berkley for about 3 yrs.. no problems.

I have been using the Berkley scale in tournaments for years. It is a very accurate scale. Only problem I have is that it doesnt like cold weather. Display will blank out or partial numbers come up. I usually keep it in my pocket during the cold.

Stren digital stinks. First one had the bead chain to the hook break on a 15# fish. Replacement unit has clouded up in the display with moisture.

Go with the Berkley. My Stren consistantly weighs my partner's fish heavier than mine.

Seriously though, I'm not at all happy with it. At 10 lbs I figure mine to be consistantly about a 1/2 lb light compared to other scales.

Berkley scale works great but try to keep it dry. I've had two go bad because of water, but it was my fault. As long as they are out of the weather they aare fine.

Bought my Berkley at Bass Pro. They sell a generic scale bag for $5.00. works great. Keeps the unit dry and its kind of padded
